The story of Hublot is intimately linked to the vision and dynamism of one man: Jean-Claude Biver. The brand had dropped off the horological map when Biver took over in 2004. Biver used his extensive experience to breathe new life into brands like Omega and Blancpain over the course of his career. His time at Hublot would become the pinnacle of his horological career.
Biver developed a new concept for Hublot known as ‘The Art of Fusion’ to create watches that combined different materials. In additional to traditional materials such as steel and gold, the brand also uses rubber, titanium, ceramics, and even denim. The first ‘new’ Hublot was aptly named the Big Bang and was an instant success. Under Biver’s guidance, the modern design, high-quality mechanisms, and smart communication transformed the brand into the talk of the town. New models were being developed and new collections were being presented at record speed, and with a dynamism heretofore unknown in the watchmaking industry.
Hublot has four collections: Big Bang, King Power, Classic Fusion, and the recently proposed Spirit of Big Bang, with its striking tonneau case.Press here to ask your question about Hublot.
